         before knowing what are tint and shade, we have to know what is tone? you can assume that Tone is the bridge between tint and shade. The correct definition will be that 

• The simple colour of any colour is called a Tone.

• The lighter or lightest version of any tone is called Tint.

• The darker or darkest version of any tone is called Shade.
